# Catalog API

> Read the whole aitmpl.com catalog as versioned JSON: every component with its install command, files and scan result.

The catalog is published as static JSON under `https://www.aitmpl.com/api/v1/`. No key, no rate limit beyond normal CDN caching. The full reference and stability policy live at [aitmpl.com/developers/catalog-api](https://www.aitmpl.com/developers/catalog-api); this page is the short version.

Other fields: `path`, `description`, `author`, `repo`, `version`, `license`, `keywords`, `downloads`, `files`, `scan` (the SkillSpector result) and `source` (the pinned repository of an external skill, otherwise `null`).

## Stability

* Within v1 every change is additive: fields are added, never removed or renamed.
* A breaking change ships at `/api/v2/`, and v1 stays published for at least six months.
* Components are ordered by `id`. Sponsored placements are never part of this API.
* Every format change is recorded in the [Catalog API changelog](https://github.com/davila7/claude-code-templates/blob/main/docs/catalog-api/CHANGELOG.md).
